The 2009 Mid-Atlantic summer plate meet was such a success that we're going to try to do it again in 2010! In fact, I had already reserved the same meeting hall at the fire station in Sykesville, Maryland that we used in 2009.
Then, in February 2010, the Sykesville fire station was largely destroyed after the roof collapsed from the weight of record snowfall, and the building then caught fire from a severed natural gas line. Thank God that no one was injured, and that all of the firefighting vehicles were able to be saved.
So presently, we're without a meet site for August 2010. I'll be searching for a suitable and affordable alternate location in the coming weeks, and will update this page with details once I know something definite. If at all possible, I'm going to try to stick to the originally scheduled date of Saturday, August 14, but I can't make any promises at this point.
This year's meet theme will be A Century of Maryland License Plates, 1910-2010. An award will be presented for the best Maryland plate display.

This event is not open to the general public. ALPCA members, other license plate collectors, and their guests only, please. If you're not an ALPCA member, please contact the meet host in advance to assure admittance.
